  1. I had no idea that construction had good pensions. I didn’t even realize a lot of construction had pensions, figured it wasn’t offered since a lot of construction workers come and go pretty quickly. (although I’m probalby thinkign wrongly of like home construction) Is this at all levels or are you talking about more higher level positions?

      When I say construction, I’m generally meaning the firms that do bridges, high-rise buildings, roads and the such. Not so much the random crew of folks that put together a residential home. In these professional construction firms, many organizations had pensions from top to bottom. Remember that construction is still a fairly dangerous occupation, so organized workers often fought for pensions to protect members from injury ending their incomes and providing something after years of hard work that’s demanding on the body.
